National Sports Day on 29th August 2024..
The Department of Youth Empowerment & Sports and the Karnataka Olympic Association jointly organised the National Sports Day today, 29th August 2024 at Olympic Bhavan, KOA on the occasion of Padma Bhushan Major Dhyan Chand National Sports Day.
The Hon’ble Home Minister Dr. G Parameshwara Inaugurated the function. Dr.K.Govindaraj, MLC, Political Secretary to Chief Minister, President FIBA Asia and KOA, Shri Manjunath Prasad, IAS Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Shri Chethan, IPS, Commissioner of DYES and Shri Anantharaju, Secretary General KOA were present at the function. In this function, International Sports Personalities from Basketball Mr. R Rajan and Mr. G Dilip was felicitated.
