Indore (Madhya Pradesh ) – The 74th Junior National Championships concluded with Rajasthan in Men and Karnataka in Women, new champions in Men and Women categories.
The seven-day tournament was held at Emerald International School Indoor Stadium in Indore, conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Basketball Association under the aegis of the Basketball Federation of India
In the women’s final Karnataka took the crown beating Punjab (71-51 ) while in boys Rajasthan took the crown defeating the defending champion Punjab (85-77)
In Girls Karnataka leaned on a 33-23 lead in the first half itself, orchestrated by Aadhya Gowda and Aadhya Nagalinga and Supported by Aadhiti Subrmanam, to build a cushion and never let go to win the championship
The Karnataka Women, who boast strong teamwork and chemistry, traded baskets through Aditi Nagalinga who played a captains game scoring 16 points connecting 5 three Pointers while Aadhya Gowda Supported her well with 16 points and 11 rebounds for Punjab aggressive Chanda Goutam scored 20 points connecting 6 three-pointers

On this occasion Dr K Govindaraj, MLC, Political Secretary to Chief Minister and President FIBA Asia, has increased the prize money of Rs.7.50 lakhs to the team for their excellent achievement and it’s a great boost for the present and future players to promote the sports.
