Bronze for Karnataka Men – Karnataka Re-creates History after 32 years
The Karnataka Men and Women Basketball Team participated in the 71st National Basketball Championships at Chennai (T.N.) from 3rd to 10th April, 2022. Karnataka Men defeated Indian railways 96-79 to secure third place. Indian railways started the first quarter with 26-17 lead but the second quarter saw Karnataka coming back in to the game through Anil Kumar and Abhishek Gowda as they took the lead with 35-34 and ended the third quarter with a 10 point lead and won the match at 96-79. Earlier in the pool matches, Karnataka Men defeated Services.
KSBBA Hon.Secretary and President BFI Dr K. Govindaraj announced cash prizes for Karnataka Men and Women teams for good performance in 71st senior national concluded today at Chennai. Karnataka Men secured Bronze medal a cash prize Rs. 5.00 lakh to team and Karnataka Women team secured 5th place will take Rs. 1.00 lakh to team.
