It was a proud moment for Bengaluru to host the FIBA Asia Mid-Term General Assembly and to welcome Asian Basketball leaders for the FIBA Asia Gala Dinner held on 29th October 2025 at Shangri-La Hotel, Bangalore.
It was also an emotional moment for Dr K. Govindaraj, MLC & President, FIBA – Asia, and KOA that a book on his journey titled “Basketball Believer” was released on the occasion. We, in KSBBA, sincerely hope that it inspires young dreamers to pursue their goals with faith and perseverance.
The occasion was graced by FIBA President Mr Sheikh Saud Ali Al Thani, Mr Andreas Zagkils, Secretary General FIBA, Executive Director FIBA Asia Mr Hagoop Khajiraian.

Parmeshwara, Hon’ble Home Minister, Sri M B Patil Hon’ble Minister for Industries and Infrastructure Development, Dr H C Mahadevappa, Hon’ble Minister for Social Welfare, Dr. Sharan Prakash Patil, Hon’ble Minister for Medical Education, Govt. of Karnataka and other dignitaries attended the function.
