KSBBA VOLUNTEER ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM

If you wish to be a part of the exciting activities which will enhance the quality of Basketball as the best sport to watch and follow by sports lovers, you are then at the right place. You are at KSBBA (Karnataka State Basketball Association).

Are you the kind of sportsperson who feels that sports do not get enough attention from the media as well as the public, do you feel that there should be a greater number of competitions so that more talent could be spotted? Then you are at the right place. Have you always wanted to see a sporting environment which compares with internationally best standards? Then you are at the right place for your vision is ours.

Note: The Volunteer program is available to current as well as ex-State/National players of KSBBA only.

What you can do with us

KSBBA organises a large number of Basketball promotion related activities that include State level, National level and International level championships for Men, Women, Boys and Girls year after year. KSBBA sends its state level teams to various championships as mentioned above, when conducted in other States or Countries. It requires a number of coordinated activities with dedicated efforts to select a team, train them, plan the logistics and other associated activities for every such event. Developing a strong relationship with the media makes a big difference in the promotion of the game. You can collaborate, create, and aid us by volunteering your time and skills. If you make magic with words then our creative team would be the place for you, if organising programs is your forte then help us out during our many tournament events and other talent building programs. Similarly, there are more programs coming up soon.

KSBBA aims to be on the forefront of Basketball activities in Karnataka. Who better than our fellow basketball players to join us in this endeavour?

Apply to our volunteering program today! There can be several exciting opportunities for you to participate in. Here are a few options:

  • Be part of committees that organise tournaments which include:
    • Match Schedule, Fixtures etc.
    • Defining prizes, certificates and organising them
    • Assist in conducting matches including playing area arrangements like lighting, public address system, video wall projections etc.
    • Assist in collating match statistics using international software
    • Preparing match reports and uploading daily match results data to the media, including statistics, photos, videos etc.
    • Video graphing matches (at international levels)
    • Public announcements, managing the audience and more…
  • Assist in talent spotting and talent building programs
    • Help in organising special training programs for budding talents
    • Help in capturing performance metrics of individual players
    • Assist in resolving diet, logistics and playing kit requirements related issues
  • IT related support including:
    • Assist in preparing, updating, and maintaining the KSBBA Website contents
    • Assist in development and maintenance of any supporting web/mobile Apps
    • Assist in any data upload related requirements including statistics data
    • Assist in preparing banners, logos, and other media related contents
    • Assist in managing social media contents on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter etc.

  • Participate in executing Players Welfare Programs initiated by KSBBA that include:
    • Education and career building welfare programs for economically weak but talented basketball youth.
    • Healthcare related welfare programs to assist in health related monetary or other logistics requirements for economically weak but talented basketball youth.
    • Job placements assistance for economically weak but talented basketball youth.
  • Assistance in Event Management activities that include:
    • Conducting special award functions and other public programs organised by KSBBA from time to time
    • Assisting in INBL 3×3 League tournament activities
    • Assist in organising International Championships including organising practice sessions for International Teams etc.

Special volunteers’ team will be organised by KSBBA management team from time to time based on requirements. Member players of KSBBA will only be eligible to volunteer. Approving and selecting any volunteer will be purely on the discretion of the KSBBA management team.

Volunteers can opt to offer certain number of hours per day/per week or per month based on requirement. Also, volunteers can choose activities they are interested in, based on above list of activities.
