We feel proud to inform you that the Indian Sr. Men Basketball Team has qualified for the FIBA Asia Cup 2022 scheduled to be held at Jakarta, Indonesia from 12th – 24th July 2022.
For the First time ever, FIBA Asia Cup Trophy Tour will be touring in 16 countries, which has already been qualified for the FIBA Asia Cup 2022 as part of the event’s promotional plan. The Trophy, that was unveiled during the FIBA Asia Cup 2017 Draw ceremony in Beirut, stands 55cm high and is almost entirely made out of silver and features a silver plated band engraved with the trophy name.
The FIBA Asia Cup Trophy Tour for India itook place at Bengaluru on 27th April 2022 at Grand Steps (East Gate) Vidhana Soudha 1300 Hrs and at Sree Kanteerava Stadium from 1500 Hrs to 1800 Hrs.
Dr. K C Narayana Gowda, Hon’ble Minister from Youth Empowerment & Sports and Sericulture, Government of Karnataka, Dr. K Govindaraj, MLC & President, BFI, Mr. Chander Mukhi Sharma, Secretary General, BFI & Mr. Aadhav Arjuna, Vice President, BFI graced the occasion in which current Indian Team player & Former International Basketball Players took part.
